FMF {Bloom}

Friday!! FMF time. Five minutes of non-edited writing in a community of wonderful writers/bloggers. Lisa Jo Baker started this thing and it has taken on a real life wonderful-ness that I’ve had the opportunity to participate in at Allume. If you’re going this year make sure you take time for that little side event! 🙂

Today’s prompt: BLOOM

June 22 025

There is a small place in my heart that is starting to gain light.

I can feel a small unfurling of something that wasn’t there a few days ago.

God, in his faithfulness, has been whispering sweet somethings in my ear for the last few weeks.

Things like;

I am with you.

I will fight for you.

I want this for you.

You will be okay.

There are things I want for you.

Watch what I can do.

They will be okay.

I’ve got this.

Trust me.

And I think I am starting to believe it. I want to believe it before anything actually happens. BEFORE there is good news, BEFORE I learn it, BEFORE I see the faith worked out. I want to believe and trust.

And I think maybe I am starting.

HOPE is beginning to bloom.

STOP!

That may be a first…I was done before my five minutes were up!

I will take the last minutes to invite you to yesterday’s post where I began a conversation that will keep going over the next several months as I look into Bonnie Gray’s book, Finding Spiritual Whitespace.

About Lani

With six kids, a farm, a ministry and dreams poking out in every direction I need plenty of grace to keep all the balls in the air. The sweet thing is that when I drop them, that crazy grace of God is there telling me I'm still okay...and you are, too...welcome to this place of grace.

    Thanks for sharing! That is my prayer too – to believe Him even before I see how it will all work out.
