a crazy-grace-full moment

pink shoes of grace

God’s crazy grace showed up again this weekend.  I call His grace crazy because it doesn’t make sense to me.  It’s way off the map of logical.  This weekend it looked like this…

– take a really tired, unprepared ministry couple who finished seeding at noon and throw them into a camp with a bunch of youth after school

– add in one really grumpy kid who didn’t want to be there and let it be known far and wide

– take into consideration that the mama has been feeding off of social media rather than the living word

– she has also not been eating properly and therefore her brain resembled something like a fuzz ball

– she has been mostly driving kids to various places and has been gone more than she has been home

– that mama found a friend’s facebook page where she was saw this phrase:  Pin God 1st

– it caught her attention and she pursued it and took up the challenge – you can find the challenge HERE

– she started meditating on scripture (1 Peter specifically) BEFORE going near her lovely social media connections

– she was wise to ask her GSDT friends to pray for her….and they did

– that weary husband’s faith knew that God would show up because he had faith for that

– God spoke to the weary mama and whispered that she had something to share with the congregation that was showing up the next day

– the weary mama was too tired to do anything besides believe that God would take the small seeds planted from 1 Peter and grow them into something worth sharing

– she listened, she heard and then she shared and God’s crazy grace came and blessed some kingdom people

– because someone else was obedient and put out a challenge

– because someone had faith to believe

– because someone heard and obeyed

God’s kingdom was released a little here on earth

and THAT is what crazy grace looked like this weekend.

About Lani

With six kids, a farm, a ministry and dreams poking out in every direction I need plenty of grace to keep all the balls in the air. The sweet thing is that when I drop them, that crazy grace of God is there telling me I'm still okay...and you are, too...welcome to this place of grace.
